Duties of the executive board

Article 3: Executive Board

 

Section 1 The administration of the chapter shall be vested in the Executive Board, composed of

          the President, Vice-president, Secretary, Treasurer and 3 active or social members,

          who shall be voted by the membership and shall be elected at the annual meeting and

          assume responsibilities of the office for a term of 1 year.

         

Section 2 Any vacancy on the board that may occur during an elected term of office shall be

          filled by a majority vote of at least five (5) executive members present at any

          meeting of the board, with subsequent approval of the chapter membership at the

          next regular meeting, but only for the unexpired term so vacated remaining.

 

Section 3 The executive board shall have supervision of and be responsible for all affairs and

          property of the chapter, and shall inspect as often as desired all records, books and

          accounts of the chapter. It shall have the power to suspend or expel any member for

          due cause with a majority vote of the full board following the guidelines set forth by

          the Red Knights International Firefighters Motorcycle Club ®.

          It may, by formal action, delegate specific authority of the board to such personnel or

          committees as herein after set forth.

 

Section 4 In addition to all the powers granted, a majority of the board shall have the right to

          accept for and in behalf of the chapter, any contributions, appropriations or grants

          in aid from any source that may be tendered in monies, goods, real or personnel property,

          or services for the good of the chapter.

          It may pledge the faith of the chapter with or without security, if occasion should

          arise in the pursuance of its work.
