William T. Hodge, 65, of Onset, Captain of the Onset Fire Department, died Sept. 12, 2008.

 Bill was the husband of Dorothy A. (Spike) Hodge and the son of the late William and Helene (Tripp) Hodge.

He was born in Wareham and lived there all of his life.

Bill owned and operated Mobile Fire Apparatus for many years before retiring.

He was also a Captain on the Onset Fire Department where he served for over 44 years.

He enjoyed fishing and boating and motorcycling.

He was a long time member of the Red Knights. Belonging first to MA Chapter 8 and more recently MA Chapter 3 where he was Vice President.

Bill was known and loved by many. While his physical presence may be gone, his memory Shall live on.

Wareham and Onsets ladders supported the American flag on the Onset waterfront

A fire boat followed us as we passed the Onset waterfront
