The ride to Lake George had Bill, Ann, Don, Sandi and George competing with a line of thunderstorms.

We stopped to take shelter and were invited to bring our bikes and bodies into this business to wait out the storm

Bill did know the way and soon George & Sandi were at Lee's Motel safe and sound.

Don, Felix and Al had been staying here for 20 years and we managed to become one of the "family"

Our first night we are here.

Cold was the word of the day and we stopped to thaw out after running the twisties of route 9-N

People in New York State like to stay warm even when they are sitting on the porch

The mountains were not the only thing you could see riding along.

It doesn't look it, but this hawk just pulled up after dive bombing the road in front of us

By the time we made it to Lake Placid the temp was down to 43.

Snow would not have surprised us.

Felix led us to a lunch stop with outside heaters and Al took advantage of them to thaw out

Once inside Sandi and Don took over the gas stove

After lunch Felix tried his hand at the outside pool table

That night, on Canada Street, we ran into a lost MA-3 couple who have moved to Florida.

George did his thing and got Wayne to pay dues for both of them so they are once again on the roster

The next day Bill, Ann, George and Sandi took a ride into Vermont and came back to New York by ferry.
